At West Heath Community Centre we want to create a garden for the community to grow, learn  and share interests together. Somewhere for growing vegetables and flowers, up-cycling items and creating art. A place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, owned and maintained by the community themselves. Come and get involved!

What is a Green Gym?
The Conservation Volunteers' Green Gym inspires people to improve both their health and the environment at the same time.
All sessions are run by a friendly and experienced leader who will provide training in practical skills.  Activities range from gentle to strenuous but you can work at your own level.
We start each session with gentle warm up exercises and finish with a warm down.
What happens at the Green Gym?
The sessions focus on food growing and making changes to lead a healthier lifestyle, but we also do other activities, working at your own pace.
At every session there is a break time, giving you the chance to relax, have a chat and get to know other people.
All tools and equipment are provided and no previous experience is needed.

Join the WHCC Community Garden Facebook Group to find out more about our Garden and to chat and ask any questions you may have.

NatWest Volunteering Day - July 2023

Thank you to The Conservation Volunteers and NatWest, for all your hard work tidying the site, painting and maintaining the wildflower beds. It's looking great!

Bulb Planting - October 2021

A big thank you to our volunteers and those who came along to our Bulb Planting Event this morning.  On a very wet morning we set up the Gillet Hall to plant up hundreds of bulbs into pots;  The sun had come out by the time we'd finished, but we had a lovely time, helped along by tea and chocolate biscuits.

Our Garden should look stunning in the spring!
